Fishing Licenses:

To fish in Manitoba, it is required to purchase a valid Manitoba Fishing Licence. There are many options for purchasing your Manitoba fishing licence:

Manitoba Residents can purchase their licence at many local vendors, and at the big box stores.

Non-Manitoba Residents
Must fill out and purchase a non resident licence. You can pre-puchase your licence or you can purchase your licence after you arrive in Manitoba. You may download a copy of the application for pre-purchase but allow 4 weeks prior to your departure for your application to be processed and returned.  It is not required to pre-purchase your licence before arriving in Manitoba. Licences can be purchased in person at most Conservation/Water Stewardship offices, or at one of the many private vendors located throughout Manitoba.

Many Fishing Licences are not available until the beginning of April, and some not until May. Be sure to ask the lodge or outfitter that will be hosting your trip about the best option for obtaining your fishing licence.
