Marketing and promotions can be a time-consuming nightmare, especially when you don’t know where to start or have a budget, or the personnel in place to get the ball rolling.
Eastman Tourism is here to help, there are a variety of free marketing and promotions tools that are simple to set up, don’t take a lot of time and will help you spread the word.
We do our best to share all the fabulous events hosted in the Eastman, but we can’t share your event if we don’t know about it.
There are a few simple things you can do to help promote your event and help us promote your event for you. Doing all the below will certainly widen your reach and get more people seeing your event, but if you don’t have time to do everything we’ve listed, at the very least, get on our calendar of Things to Do.
#1 Get on our “Things to Do” Calendar
Simply complete the Submit an Event Form. Events submitted here will most certainly make it into our Eastman’s Hot this Week articles as well as be featured on our Facebook Page.
Listing your event with us makes it easy for us to share across all our social media channels. Submitting your event as soon as possible (we have summer events listed already) will bring more attention to your event and will help generate a larger interest and reach, as more people will see it listed.
#2 Create a Facebook Event Page
If you’re on Facebook, create an Event Page for your event. This is a great free tool that allows people, who may not have “liked” your Facebook Page, to see and engage with your upcoming event.
Eastman Tourism will add your event to our Facebook page too. This will include additional feature spots on our Facebook page not only as a post but as part of our listing of events that are happening in the Eastman Region.
#Submit Your Event to Other Local Calendars
Most of our communities have local event calendars on their websites. Submit your event to those calendars and help promote their use so that everyone can benefit. In addition to your local calendar, make sure you take a few minutes to list your event with our Parent Company, Travel Manitoba. This is the one-stop shop for everything in Manitoba and is widely visited by those who live in the province as well as those who will be visiting.
These three simple and free ways to market and promote your next upcoming event will only take about 45 minutes to an hour to complete and will provide your event with some excellent marketing avenues that will help increase your reach, engagement and participation levels.
