Halloween Spooktacular (Whitemouth)

Whitemouth is throwing on a fun and exciting Halloween-infused afternoon on October 30, 2021!

Test your pumpkin carving skills at the Pumpkin Carving Contest. Get creative, get spooky, and get wacky at this contest that promises loads of fun and one lucky winner of a $50.00 gift card of the winner’s choice! The pumpkin and basic carving tools will be provided, but feel free to bring additional materials to add to your design! Please register to guarantee your spot.

Load up on candy during the Trunk or Treat activity! Walk along the stretch of Halloween-decorated parked vehicles, and don’t forget to shout, “Trick or Treat!” from car to car for tasty treats! Or, if you feel like getting in the Halloween Spirit, you can register your vehicle, hand out candy, and have the chance to win a $50.00 gift card (winner’s choice) if your vehicle is deemed best decorated.

Haunted Forests (St. Adolphe & Springfield)

In Eastern Manitoba, we have two terrifying haunted attractions.

Deer Meadow Farms’ Forbidden Forest & Storybook Lane – Deer Meadow Farms has not one but two Halloween attractions! On October 15, 2021, The Forbidden Forest is taken over by ghouls, ghosts, madmen, and monsters of all kinds and, if you dare to enter, be prepared for a nightmarish experience that will haunt your dreams.

Your journey begins with the Haunted Hayride taking you to The Forbidden Forest that has eighteen larger-than-life sets and fifteen acres of Forest filled with creatures lurking in the shadows and full special effects with lights, sound, fog and SFX. It’s no wonder that it is one of Manitoba’s top-rated Halloween Thrillers and promises Spooky & Downright Terrifying Halloween Adventures!

Dates: October 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30.

While the Forbidden Forest can be a little extreme for young children, kids can still have loads of Halloween fun at Deer Meadow Farms’ Storybook Lane! Your child’s favourite storybook and fairytale characters are lost in the Storybook Lane! Trek through the Lane to meet and search for the charming characters! Spooky & Downright Terrifying Halloween Adventures

A Maze in Corn’s Haunted Forest – Open now is A Maze in Corn’s Haunted Forest. The Forest has come alive, its creatures have awakened, and around every corner lurks a haunting and monstrous being. This interactive outdoor experience is sure to put anyone who dares to enter in the Halloween spirit and send chills down your body.

For those with children, the 3:30 to 5:30 time slots are more family-friendly so the whole family can have a spooktacular good time!

Dates: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

History Among the Headstones (Birds Hill Provincial Park)

On October 23, 2021, join Park Interpreters for a family-friendly guided tour of the Pine Ridge Cemetery. Hear stories of the early settlers in this area and learn the secrets to interpreting headstones.

Witch’s Walk (Birds Hill Provincial Park)

Head on over to Birds Hill Provincial Park on October 30, 2021, for an exciting family journey!

Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble . . . Witch Hazel has been spotted capturing forest animals of Birds Hill and will not release them without your help! Discover each animal’s unique adaptations while you walk the 1.8 km Nimowin Trail on this self-led family adventure. Along the way, complete challenges and make a magic potion for Witch Hazel, so she will let the animals go. Costumes welcome!
