Amore Cantina Officially Open (Lac du Bonnet)

New to Lac du Bonnet restaurants is Amore Cantina, where you can enjoy homemade, authentic, made-with-love Italian cuisine! Enjoy a variety of dishes that are too good to be true! From their panzerotti and pizza, ravioli to fettuccine alfredo, anything you’ll order will melt in your mouth! Plus, they are always doing specials, so you can try something entirely new!

Canadian Power Toboggan Championships (Beausejour)

If you’re looking for a thrilling event, then you can’t miss the 59th Annual Canadian Power Toboggan Championships! Taking place from December 11 to December 12, you can watch the action live in person or online of new F III chassis racing, Pro-lite, Sportsman 600, Pro 500, Vintage racing, and so much more!

This premiere snowmobiling race is home to the world’s fastest and safest 1/2-mile ice oval track that is sure to blow you away and promises an exciting weekend!

Prairie Gal Fishing is Open for Bookings!

While you can’t go ice fishing quite yet, you can still plan out your adventure! Prairie Gal Fishing is opening up their bookings, so you can schedule in your fantastic experience in the calendar!

At Prairie Gal Fishing, women and novice anglers can learn the ropes of ice fishing in a safe, empowering, and warm environment. Started by avid angler and prairie girl Roselle Turenne, the mission is to inspire and empower women in fishing and help bring gender parity on the water; along with creating a safe and comfortable environment for women and novices to learn to fish in Manitoba; and to introduce or reintroduce adult women to the sport of ice fishing in Manitoba.

Whiteshell Provincial Park Interpretive Programs

Explore the Whiteshell in a fun, educational and interactive way! Whiteshell Provincial Park has multiple programs coming up in December that you cannot miss!

Citizen Science Bird Count – December 18

Join a Park Interpreter as you participate in a citizen science bird count to identify and record bird sightings and walk the 2.5 km trail around the Goose Pond at Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary!

Wolf Howl Hikes – December 3, 10 and 17

Hike along with a Park Interpreter as you trek 2.5 km around the Goose Ponds at Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary and howl for wolves. Listen for their haunting calls and discover what makes the timber wolf so misunderstood.
