Country Snacks (Niverville)

Fill those bullies with ice cream and other tasty treats at Country Snacks! Indulge in Manitoba’s best self-serve soft ice cream and twister treats. With their twists, you pick the candy, and they’ll twist it up for you. Or, if you’re feeling like having breakfast for dessert, visit Rosa’s Homemade (located in Country Snacks), where you can enjoy homemade waffles any time of the day.

After eating up your treats, head over to Hespeler Park for a fabulous afternoon of fun! The largest park in Niverville at 91 acres, it includes over ten soccer pitches, five baseball diamonds, a splash pad, wetlands, bike skills track, beach volleyball court, outdoor exercise equipment, man-made and natural play structures, and a brand-new playground that represents Niverville’s rich history.

The park is also situated on a Crowing Wing Trail section (connecting Winnipeg to Emerson). It guides you through the wetlands pavilion area that was transformed from the Town’s old lagoon into the beautiful wetlands using a process called bioremediation.

Le Gouter (Albert Beach)

You can’t pass the chance to grab some ice cream (or crepes and other delicious treats and meals) from Le Goûter! With a large menu just featuring ice creams and sweets, you’ll find the perfect snack to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Before the Fall season starts, visit the Beausejour Daylily Gardens! This unique two-acre park boasts a stunning display of peonies, iris’, and, of course, daylilies. The newest addition to the gardens is an edible orchard of shrubs and fruit trees like haskaps, grapes, cherry, apricot, pear, and apple trees. Fun fact about the Gardens is that it is the only official American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) display garden on the Canadian prairies! This title makes the experience of visiting the gardens even more special, as there is nothing else like it in the prairies!
