Fall is always filled with plump pumpkins, warm colours, delicious food and family time. Try out these great activities the whole month of October  to make the best family memories that you’ll be talking about for years to come. All activities are physical distancing friendly.

Geocaching in Sunrise Corner

Geocaching is one of the best family-friendly activities out there. You get to see new and exciting things, learn cool facts and compete with your family and friends all at the same time.

Surrounding the RMs of Piney and Stuartburn are more than ten geocaches for you to discover located near historical sites and attractions. Plan a road trip and search and learn about the rich history and culture of the different communities in Sunrise Corner.

Simply download the Geocaching.com app on your phone and and start your journey. Also visit the RM of Whitemouth where there are 38 geocaches that will challenge you.

Blue Highway Mountain Bike Trail

Calling all mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts! If you’re looking for a fantastic trail to bike with your friends and family this fall, then the Blue Highway Mountain Bike trail is the ideal spot. The trail was designed for mountain biking, but is also open to hikers. But you will find mostly mountain bikers on Blue Highway. It was designed for beginners to the most experienced mountain biker.

Biking this trail is adrenaline filled fun. With beautiful landscapes, you’ll want to pause and catch your breath. Wearing a helmet is essential.

Poutine Trail

Skip the big turkey dinner dishes and hit the road with  your family on a different kind of trail, the Poutine Trail. Visit the bilingual towns on the route and try different restaurants’ spin on a popular Canadian food – poutine! You can take out and head to a nearby park in these Francophone communities.

Bruce D. Campbell Farm & Food Discovery Centre

Spend the day with your family at the Bruce D. Campbell Farm & Food Discovery Centre learning through interactive displays and live animals. Learn where food is produced and the work that the farmers do for their land and animals. All activities are pre-booked only and masks are mandatory. Visit their site for more information.
