Birds Hill Provincial Park provides the perfect location for you to enjoy any of your favourite outdoor activities. You can walk, bike, or evening saddle up your horse to explore their trails. Along the way, you can admire the breathtaking scenery that mixes esker ridges, dry prairie lands, wet meadows, bogs, aspen-oak and even boreal forest.

The land of Birds Hill Park is the perfect home to a variety of wildlife. Keep your eyes open, and you might see rabbits, Canadian Beavers, turtles, black bears, otters, and, of course, White-tailed deer. The Park is also home to over two-hundred bird species like the Pileated Woodpeckers, Great Grey Owls, Soras, Great Egrets, Bald Eagles, and many more!

You could even spot several rare plant species during your visit like prairie moonwort, pinweed, sideoats grama and dioecious sedge. The meadows and prairies provide a habitat that some endangered plant life can thrive. The rough agalinis and the western silvery aster are just a few that grow among the land.

Head over to the charming Deer Meadow Farms that is ready to give you a rootin tootin good time! There are many activities and things to do here, but the must-see attraction happening at the moment is the ten acres corn maze! Every year, Deer Meadow designs a new, exciting maze, and this year might be the best one yet. In celebration of Manitoba 150, Deer Meadow pays tribute to First Nations people, providing a breathtaking (and challenging) maze.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! If you feel like you need a warmup before challenging yourself with the corn maze, try out Fort Frontier, a fence maze. Along the way, you can play Barnyard Bingo and unscramble games hidden around the maze.

The kids can have loads of fun (and hopefully tired themselves out) by climbing on the Tire Mountain and Bale Pyramid. And no trip to Deer Meadow Farms is complete without visiting the petting farm and BunnyVille! From lambs and sheep, goats and kids, calves, miniature horses, chicks, pigs, and many more, you’re never too old to visit some barnyard animals.

Finish your day at Deer Meadow with the Wild Game Preserve & Wagon Train. On the ride, you can view and learn about Deer Meadow Farmers’ rescued herd of Fallow Deer.
