Who doesn’t love skating? While indoor skating rinks (arenas) remain closed, you can still lace up your skates at outdoor rinks!

This is a great way to stay active while having fun and take in the benefits of the winter season. Check your local Municipality’s website or your local arena’s website, and see if they are maintaining an outdoor rink

Snowshoeing

Go walking in style! Snowshoeing was once a means of transportation, and now, it is a fun, great way to get active and experience nature in an entirely new way. Explore Eastman’s pristine forests, parks, trails, and places where you can’t normally go in the snow!

If you don’t have snowshoes but really want to try this experience, you don’t have to miss out on the fun. Winnipeg River Recreation District offers free snowshoe rentals (and skis), and Sayzoons offers snowshoe rentals at various prices (along with bonfire rentals).
