Pinawa Art 211 is a gallery filled with collections of fine jewellery, photography, paintings, sculpture, carvings and mixed media by artists in Northeastern Manitoba. Stop in to peruse the art, help yourself to the coffee bar and enjoy the creativity of artists who are passionate about capturing the authenticity of their culture. Not from Manitoba? Art pieces are one of the best souvenir choices from your stay in Manitoba. The artists themselves work the gallery and will assist you in finding that perfect piece for cottage or home.

Gardenton Ukrainian Festival

Immerse yourself in the Ukrainian Culture at the Gardenton Ukrainian Festival. There will be lots to see and do for kids and adults alike! Sing or dance along with the Ukrainian performers, fill up on delicious traditional Ukrainian fare, and learn about the lives of Manitoba’s Ukrainian settlers with guided tours of the museum and fun, interactive games and activities! The festivities continue Saturday night with an old-time Ukrainian dance, complete with a live band for you to polka and two-step your heart out to! Looking for something a little more mellow? Sit in on Sunday morning’s traditional Ukrainian church service, stroll through the market, or kick back and enjoy a drink with friends in the beer garden. Most activities take place in a beautiful outdoor setting, so please come prepared for the weather.

Boreal Shores Art Tour

Creativity runs deep in Eastern Manitoba and inspiration flows at every turn. From the surreal east shore beaches of Lake Winnipeg, through the Winnipeg River System to the rugged lake country of the Whiteshell, join us on a tour of art and landscapes as artists across this beautiful region open their homes and studios to share their world with you.

2019 marks the third year for the Boreal Shores Art Tour – a free, road-trip worthy, self-guided art tour, featuring 43 artists at their studios and or group locations scattered throughout the beautiful and diverse Boreal forest and shore regions of Eastern Manitoba.

Rainbow Trout Music Festival

With an eclectic mix of music and a great camping experience, the homegrown Rainbow Trout Music Festival is the best place to be in eastern Manitoba. On the third weekend of August, nestled in the Roseau River Valley you will hear the babbling sounds of the Roseau rapids mixed in with the tantalizing notes of rock, electro, hip-hop, blues, jazz, folk, garage, funk, reggae, and on and on…. Three days of music, camping, good friends, bonfires, dancing, swimming and so much more. It’s also 100% volunteer driven, dedicated to promoting local music and arts. It’s the coolest summer indie music festival Manitoba has to offer!
