Snowmobiling Trails in Eastern Manitoba

Eastern Manitoba is a hotspot for snowmobiling. Taking your sled out after a fresh snowfall is one of the joys of living in Manitoba.

Eastman snowmobiling clubs groom and maintenance thousands of kilometers of trials, complete with shelters, that span over various types of terrain. Snowmobile clubs out here do a fantastic job with safety training and up-to-date trail conditions to ensure safe trails and wonderful riding experiences.

Here are 5 spots for great riding trails.

Sandilands Provincial Forest and the South East

Sandilands Provincial Forest, located about 50km from Winnipeg, offers travelers things to do all year round. It’s a great spot to start when you’re riding in the southeast corner of Manitoba. The trail system extends throughout the area from the Steinbach area down through Piney and Buffalo Point.

The trails are taken of by the South East Sno-Riders and detailed maps can be found here.

Grand Beach and Victoria Beach

The beaches area on the shores of Lake Winnipeg will not disappoint. Not only is there great riding but there is so much to do in the communities! You’ll want to stop for a bite to eat or stay the night.

The Grand Beach trails are in the Provincial Park. Check out the map here.

The Victoria Beach trails are maintained by the Victoria Beach Snow Drifters where you’ll find the full trail map.

Lac du Bonnet

Lac du Bonnet is a central hub for snowmobiling. The trails here are primarily maintained by two clubs – Eastman Snopals and the Lee River Snow Riders. Extensive trails surround Lac du Bonnet out to Pinawa and Pine Falls.

These are great communities to visit and well-maintained trails

Whiteshell

Beautiful Whiteshell Provincial Park has well-maintained snowmobile trails through Caddy Lake and West Hawk Lake and extending down to Falcon Lake. These trails are maintained by Manitoba Parks.

The main trails are Seven Sisters/Falcon Lake, West Hawk Lake, Rennie, Otter Falls, Beauchemin Lake Loop, and Zubek Trail near West Hawk and Caddy Lakes.

Nopiming Provincial Park

Eastern Manitoba claims not only the Whiteshell but also Nopiming Provincial Park! That’s two beautiful parks with wonderful snowmobile trails and amazing scenery!

Nopiming has great trails which are maintained by the Nopiming Sno-Mads and provide details about each trail on their website. The major trails in Nopiming are the Bear Trail, Moose Trail, Wolf Trail, Cougar Trail, Deer Trail, and TJ’s Way.

Snoman is a useful site for trail maps & conditions throughout Manitoba and links to specific clubs for more detailed area information.
