Fire and Water Music Festival

Angels Cabin Music Festival

Enjoy a fun and relaxing evening of rhythm and blues, country and light rock featuring local Manitoba artists in a beautiful outdoor setting. Canteen, beer garden and children’s activities. Free overnight camping. Gates open at 2:00, concert starts at 3:00.

Prairie Day

Feel, see and experience the tall grass prairie. Guided walks, special presentations by wildlife experts, and activities for the kids provide an opportunity to learn about this amazing endangered ecosystem. It is a place where waving grasses stand nearly two meters high. It is a place where plants smell of licorice, peaches, oregano, and chocolate. It is a place where the bubbling sound of bobolinks and wolf-whistles of upland sandpipers will bring a smile to anyone’s face. It is the largest remnant of tall grass prairie in Canada, nestled between the towns of Tolstoi, Gardenton and Vita.

It is a place of solitude and peace – a place where time stands still.

Carrick Days 25th Annual Event

Welcome to the community of Carrick, home of the horseshoe competition in Eastern Manitoba. Saturday, August 12th the gates open at noon starting with a parade then continuous music, bands and entertainment through the weekend. Serving up homemade grub, the canteen will be open all day with supper starting at 4:30pm. Horseshoe tournament registration is at 1:00pm with 8 lanes. Get your team registered for a chance to beat the reining champions! Someone needs to knock those two guys off! Challenge yourself on the mechanical bull while the kids have fun at the inflatable tent and kids games. Enter the silent auction and draw for a chance to win a 4-wheeler quad.

Join us for more fun on Sunday, August 13th with free admission to events. Breakfast starts at 10am, Carrick Has Talent competition at noon and Karaoke after the competition.

Prairie Day

Join us for Prairie Day at the Prairie Shore Interpretive Trail, located 3km east of Tolstoi on PR 209 at the Manitoba Tall Grass Prairie Preserve. Find out types of animals who live on the prairie. Learn the secrets of our salamanders and aquatic insects. Other featured presentations will showcase a selection of native plants, prairie beetles and prairie bugs, and a highlight talk on animal encounters.

The animal ambassadors from The Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre will be on hand and showcasing their unique features. Also guided walks, bug hunting, bannock baking, and more. Admission $5.00 per adult and no charge for children. On-site canteen (10:30 am - 3:00 pm), BBQ lunch (11:30 am - 2:00 pm), NOTE only cash is accepted. Boreal Shores Art Tour

The Boreal Shores Art Tour is a self guided driving tour through juried artist studios and group locations where you will find diverse artwork for sale and to view and where you will also find opportunities to create your own works of art at hands on locations.

4th Annual Telus ATV Ride For Dad

The 4th annual Telus ATV Ride For Dad will be held in Woodridge on Sept 9, 2017. This event is to raise money for the treatment and research of prostate cancer and all funds raised, stay within our province. There will be breakfast and lunch available, along with ATV dealer displays, 50/50 tickets, RFD merchandise, celebrities in attendance, and some free gifts for our riders. Registration fee is $40.00 and can be done on line at RideForDad.ca. All registered participants will receive a chance to win a custom motorcycle valued at $124,000 for every $200 in donations raised.  See details and contest rules at RideForDad.ca. All riders must have a licenced and insured machine, sorry no jeeps, sidekicks or dirt bikes . The trail is approximately 75 km and will be a scenic ride for all levels of riders, with no mud . To date Ride For Dad has donated more than $18 million towards prostate cancer research and awareness! Come and join us for some fun and riding while raising funds for a great cause.
