A Fine Evening with Sheena Grobb

From the rolling hills of Treherne Manitoba, Sheena grew up surrounded by traditional and modern Celtic music which often rang out through the house. Raised by her mother, a music and school teacher and her father a local grain farmer, the Rankin Family and Manitoba-born Loreena McKennitt were on constant rotation. A pilgrimage to Scotland with her mother and sister affirmed Sheena’s longstanding love affair with Europe’s Celtic nations. Later, Irish rock band The Cranberries and Canadian triple Juno Award winner Ashley MacIsaac, influenced her music and ignited her own Celtic heritage from first listen. It's no wonder that St. Patrick's Day has particular significance for Sheena. She is excited and looking forward to sharing her bonny melodies with you! We hope that you'll join us for some wonderful live music and a "Fine Evening with Sheena"!

Come to the show, stay the night at Moon Gate Guest House, then wake to a delicious full hot breakfast with the artist. This is something we don't normally do but when Sheena comes to town, you just have to make something special. Special room rate for this event. Book today!

Community Tourism Planning in Manitoba

This training explores topics important to planning for tourism in the participant’s community and implementing actions that will help make tourism a success. It will guide them through the process of preparing a community tourism plan and help identify opportunities and challenges their community might face. It will also help them decide whether tourism has potential for their community. Our hope is to create a network of passionate and motivated individuals who see the potential of tourism as an economic vector in their region and the province at large. We hope that the workbook will be shared widely and used to provoke conversation and perhaps the catalyst for future tourism, economic and community development. RSVP by March 19
