Any unwanted items lingering around the house? Stuff you’ve outgrown? Any furniture you no longer use? Why not host a yard sale, along with hundreds of others in Eastern Manitoba? Better yet, why not enjoy a leisurely day traveling across the region, and visiting the yard sales, from as far north as Lockport to as far south as St. Malo. While you’re at it, stop in at the countless businesses in the area and sample homegrown foods, unique crafts and great small town hospitality.
If you would like to host a yard sale next year and be part of this exciting experience, just call the Eastman Tourism office at (204)451-1757. Registration is free. All participants are asked to place yellow balloons near their driveway to signify that they are part of this exciting event.
Each year, many communities across the Eastman region participate in this exciting event by encouraging their residents to host a sale. Last year, we had entire communities take part, and we hope to replicate that this year. Visit the many towns and villages involved: Anola, Beausejour, Garson, Dugald, Giroux, Lorette, Niverville, Ste. Anne, Ste Genevieve and St-Pierre-Jolys – just to name a few. While you’re at it, stop in at the many farmer’s markets, restaurants and antique shops along the way.
Eastern Manitoba is a vast area, overflowing with natural beauty, great attractions and fun events. We encourage you to take this opportunity to drive throughout the region, enjoy nature at its best, discover a unique museum or market, and visit one of the many delightful restaurants along the way.
